The Stricto Sensu Graduate Program in Pneumology of the School of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo, FMSUP) was accredited in 1982 and comprises a set of scheduled activities, supervised by an advisor, which include and privilege teaching e research, always aiming to integrate knowledge. This program should be understood as a system of intellectual formation and, at the same time, of production of knowledge in each field.
